In the fall of 1899, a quiet farmhouse near Shawville, Quebec became the center of one of Canada’s strangest hauntings. The Dagg family claimed their home was plagued by a mischievous—and sometimes malevolent—presence that threw stones, moved objects, and spoke in ghostly voices.

Neighbors witnessed it. Clergy tried to bless it away. Reporters documented it. Yet no one could explain what truly haunted the Daggs’ home.
